Great unique experience with nice views and some sights not on the usual tourist path. However the English audio guide app we relied on was hit and miss and sometimes we were left sitting there for ages with no understanding of where we were. It seemed shorter and less detailed than the live German tour guide - who spoke in depth about each particular site. Needs work to get the English accessibility improved.

The boat was comfortable, the range of sights was great, the food and drink available was adequate. Not speaking German was a definite disadvantage; the commentary in English was very brief compared to the spoken German commentary. Also, the service started 35 minutes late (although it did ten last 2 hours) with no explanation.

The tour was good, but I had booked it to get the English translation on my phone. Could not make the app work, so just enjoyed the view since the live commentary was in German and geared to a German audience. Discovered later there was a brochure downstairs in English with description of main sites. Worth the tour, though, since the Hamburg harbour area is quite amazing and the longer tour is worthwhile.
