After pickup from your hotel at 8:00 AM, visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex. See Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, the final resting place of the beloved national hero, and the house on stilts where he lived from 1958 to 1969. Next visit the One Pillar Pagoda, a must-see destination because of its unique architecture and the story behind its construction. Continue going to Tran Quoc Pagoda on the shore of West Lake, then see the ancient beauty of the Temple of Literature, Quoc Tu Giam (Imperial Academy), considered the first university in Vietnam. At 12:30 PM, have lunch at a restaurant in the Old Quarter. Afterwards, you’ll visit Hoan Kiem Lake, the heart and soul of Hanoi. Stop at the Vietnam Military History Museum to see rooms full of war propaganda, photographs and documents from wars against China, France, and the United States. The grounds feature several captured aircraft, as well as a central structure built from the wreckage of French and American planes. Visitors may climb the flag tower, to see incredible views from the top. Finally, visit the Vietnamese Women's Museum, before being driven back to your hotel at approximately 3:30 PM.
