James is an extremely knowledgeable guide who brings not only the closest stars, but those millions of light years away, up close and personal. The pictures and information were amazing and really gives one a perspective on the vastness of the universe and how small we are in relation to it. Very humbling! Also, this is our second time doing this tour. The first time we went was in the summer and it was interesting to see the difference between the summer sky and the winter sky!

Just do it. Don’t think twice. This is hands down one of the best tours I’ve ever done in Hawaii. James is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his work. He shares a ton of information with the group and ensures everyone is enjoying the trip. The pictures he took were incredible! It’s COLD out there. Wear pants, not leggings like me the tour does provide you with parkas to stay warm but you may consider layering up a bit more if you get cold easily.
