The new palace was an imposing complex with important architectural innovations, splendid frescoes...

I enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about the Monoan civilization, hugely important but relatively unknown.

After waiting 30 minutes for a british couple that was supposed to show up, my wife and I got a lovely private tour of Knossos. The guide, Ionna Glypti, was fantastic. We learned a lot about the biases that early researchers had, and got the most up-to-date information from our guide, much of which contradicts the posted signage around the site. The tour was one of our best experiences in Crete. We highly recommend this shit!

Certainly worth booking a small tour - ours had 5 people on it. The guide was friendly, very knowledgable and as it was a small group we were able to ask lots of questions. We felt she was passionate about Knossos. She was also helpful about general questions about other activities in the local area.

Wonderful! My guide provided so much historical context, which made my visit more interesting and meaningful. He provided fascinating information you won't get from an audio guide!

Fantastic job by guide, in particular assisting a nearly deaf person. Managed the group well to avoid interfering with other folks at site, and to keep us together.

Tour makes the entire visit worthwhile. Guide is excellent, knows so much about the site (and where to find spots with shade). Well worth the money spent.
