Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Skipper kept boat moving to ensure best view of whales. Marine biologist explained all the antics and movements of the mum and calf and male escort and male rival. Saw about 60 breaches. Many fin slaps and tale flukes. Mum showing calf how to carry out different movements. Saw multiple pods. Great morning and afternoon tea provided. Thank you. My brother is now going to do this trip later in the week.

Fantastic! We & our grandkids, aged 12 & 8 loved it! From Kate (??), our coach pick-up driver to the boat itself, to the skipper, the crew, the commentary, the extended morning tea & even the weather - everything was just perfect. Even the whales appeared to be "showing off" especially for our benefit??!! Thank you to everyone associated with 'Tasman Venture'!

The trip exceeded my expectations. The crew were helpful and knowledgeable. I certainly had very close encounters with several whales and one incredibly close enough to touch if I had dared, but not advised. The vessel was very comfortable and I felt safe in spite of being a non swimmer.
