Hodjapasha Culture Center The Hodjapasha culture Center is located inside the Hodjapasha Hamam-today used a market – built in 1470 by Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror’s imam (hodja) and vizier Hoca Sinan Paşa. The center presents a daily programme of Turkish Dances and Sema ( whirling dervish ceremony ) . In 2010 , it received the Tourism Award 2010 for Best Local Authentic Events award from Union of Tourist Guides. With its high dome and large bathing rooms ; The Hocapaşa Hamam had been an important venue in its day. Made entirely of quarried Stone , with peacock tail designs at its corners ; the historic structure served as hamam from 1470 untill 1988. Inside , Hodjapasha Culture Center consists of two separate sections ; one serves as a hall for exhibitions and fairs , while the second used as a performance space.
