This tour was extremely informative and we learned so much. It was not just verbally bit hands on as well. We got to try the mulberrys and feed the silk worms, preparing their food. I didn't realise that as they grew the leaf size they eat increases. They eat so much and so fast. It was great to see how to wave the silks and learn about the different blends. We had our own tour person who helped us at the end with picking the clothes we wanted. Also the lunch was fabulous and they catered to our vegetarian needs.

Learnt a lot about the production of silk, from nurturing the silk worms, extracting the fibre from coccoons, spinning and weaving the traditional way. Hands on experience of these activities. Declined the offer of eating a now dead pupa! Good and patient guide, free pickup and return to hotel. Displays of silk garments but absolutely no hard sell. Good quality lunch provided. Very reasonable cost $19pp. Would highly recommend.
