Full description

Depart Hoi An and journey towards the limestone complex of the Marble Mountains in beautiful Da Nang. Upon arrival, see the 156 stone steps that are carved into the side of Thuy Son, the only Marble Mountain accessible to visitors. Ascend to the top of the mountain and marvel at the Buddhist pagoda temples and hidden Buddhist and Hindu grottoes along the way. Get a closer look at the reliefs that depict religious scenes carved out of the marble, and soak up the panoramic views. Head back down the mountain to visit the artisans village where skilled sculptors create many amazing products out of the marble. Continue to Linh Ung Pagoda, built under the reign of King Minh Mang in the 19th-century Nguyen Dynasty. Learn about the legend of the Buddhist statue said to have drifted downstream to the area to anchor at a sandy embankment. Admire the pagoda temple built by the locals to worship the statue, before the trip back to Hoi An.

Great tour, outstanding guide!

We were picked up on time and our guide Gumg introduced herself. From the we were taken to the Linh Ung Pergoda. Great views back to DeNang and enough time th o look around the pergoda. Our guide explained the history of the pergoda and took us to several locations around so we could get great views of the pergoda. After about hour we departed for Marble mountain. Before we arrived at the mountain we visited a marble workshop where we were able to see a mason at work and purchase some marble products. Our guide then took us to the mountain showed us around and explained the history of the Buddist temple built into the mountain. We had enough time to explore the entire mountain and in each part Gumg explanined what we were seeing and the history. A really good morning tour

It was only my husband and I in the tour so it was kinda of a private tour! Our guide, Thao, was very informative and super nice. She would always make sure that it was safe for us before going since it was pretty slippery in some places. The caves in the Marble Mountains were amazing. The sculpture village was basically a store and the women there were not really useful. They just basically wanted us to buy souvenirs. Other than that, I would recommend this tour.

Wear comfortable foot wear and clothing— this tour involves lots and lots of walking up/ down the marble mountain. Depending on when you travel, it’s advisable to wear some sunscreen / hat; the sun was pretty intense. Our travel guide Eric was very knowledgeable and friendly! Would recommend him as your guide!! Oh, and bring some snacks to feed the monkeys that are at the Lady Buddha.
