Savor a mouth-watering buffet lunch as you sail. After a morning transfer by bus from Athens to the port, hop on board a cruise ship and be invited to one of its spacious open decks. From the deck, you’ll have a great vantage point for enjoying views of the Greek coast. The first stop is the island of Poros, the smallest of the 3 islands you’ll visit on the tour. Take in the stunning views as you enter the port of Hydra and see the cove that at one time served as a shelter for pirates. From the open decks, marvel at the dramatic landscapes of this island. There will be time for you to explore the narrow, stone-paved streets of the island on foot, or by saddled donkey, which is the traditional mode of transportation. If you choose to go by foot, you can walk along the old seaside promenade and perhaps stop at some of the small shops. When you return to the ship, the captain heads for Aegina which is the largest of the 3 islands on the tour. Apart from its beautiful harbor, there are numerous interesting sites that you’ll have a chance to discover on your own. Alternatively, you can join an excursion to the Temple of Aphaia at an additional cost. Return to your cruise-boat and enjoy your one-hour sail back to the port. Hydra Island from Athens by speed-ferry with your own guide

8. Hydra Island from Athens by speed-ferry with your own guide

Your tour leader will pick you up from your Athens hotel, and drive you to the port to board with you the passenger boat. He/she will guide you while in Hydra, allowing you to also have your private time to enjoy lunch & drinks. The boat ride is around two hours past Aegina (from a distance) & Poros (stop) islands! Hydra is a trendy and cosmopolitan island that at the same time maintains its magic and peacefulness due to the all-year-round presence of the locals and the absence of any kind of vehicle! We love the island because Hydra is also one of our three bases, so we consider it home to our agency. A tour for those looking for a different approach to the popular but extremely touristy “3 island cruise” to Aegina, Poros, and Hydra islands. It will allow you to really spend your time on the “important” island instead of 90% sailing with very limited time on each island. On Hydra, everything inspires tranquility, relaxation, and a gentle way of life. It is not surprising that artists from all over the world find inspiration in the atmosphere of Hydra. It is THE most exclusive and romantic island in the Saronic Gulf. A true pearl unique by its scenery. A “car-free” island means that no vehicles [at all] are allowed. The only means of transportation is the cute island donkeys & mules. Boats, and on foot is our suggestion!

This activity was worth it! I met so many awesome people. The views while on the water and on the different islands were like nothing I’ve ever seen. I had a full day of activities and I didn’t get burned out, I had so much fun. I went in November so, it was kinda cold but not so cold that it wasn’t enjoyable.

Great trip. The stop at Poros was very short and could probably be skipped all together. Hydra and Aegina were beautiful and we did a donkey ride while at Hydra. Sit on the top deck of the ferry as much as possible. The views were incredible. Highly suggest this trip!

A must do in Greece! Very well organized. We were satisfied with the time on each island. The food was delicious and the show at the end of the night was so much fun. Staff was incredible. We also upgraded to VIP after boarding, which was worth every penny.

Very good organization of the hotel transfer until the return. A little expensive but it allows you to make a good combination in one day.

It was a lovely experience to see 3 beautiful islands in 1 day
