Situated in Federation Square in the heart of the city, chill and enjoy a drink at Melbourne’s only ice bar — a must for tourists and locals alike. Geared up in special snow wear, make your way through the doors of the explorer's ship and into the sub-zero temperatures on the other side.   This is a truly unique Arctic experience for people of all ages, so don’t leave your little explorers at home. People under the age of 18 are welcome until 7 PM. You'll be surrounded by over 30 tones of expertly sculpted ice.  The ice bar is also within walking distance of many other major Melbourne attractions, including the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV), Botanical Gardens, Crown Casino, Melbourne Aquarium, Melbourne Cricket Ground, Eureka Sky Deck, and Bourke Street Mall.

Such a great experience, I was excited to eat a ice cup but it was plastic I think the shot glass was ice but I didn’t want to look weird so I didn’t try haha. The only thing that was annoying is that you can’t take any photos on your phone it has to be done by the cameras inside and you have to pay for them each but the photos look great, the drinks are good it’s a fun experience. Would definitely go again!

Really fun time! The shots and cocktails were delicious, we bought an extra shot, soooo good! We had fun taking photos around the room and played all the games, we were warm enough, we just started feeling cold when our time was almost up! Great for Melbourne first timers.

We had trouble finding the entry of the bar, but the staff were really helpful, sharing a laugh with us. Thoroughly enjoyed our ice bar experience and the young bartender was very amusing and friendly to chat with.

Fun thing to do in Melbourne.In the bar you wear eskimo poncho and gloves.All your drinks are in ice glass!Fun barman. Recommended for everyone
