What people are saying about Imlil

Amazing experience, saw the Atlas Mountains, complimentary camel ride, was a full day rather than a half day so would be mindful of that. We paid separately for the Atlas Mountains tour which was wonderful, went up to the mountains, was shown how they make argan oil, had a camel ride. We did all of this again with the cooking class, but instead of going for a hike we went to a tiny mountain side village where a very kind man welcomed us into his beautiful home, with a huge terrace that you could see for miles from, absolutely stunning. He showed us how to make the traditional meal of tomato and cucumber salad with orange, and the delicious chicken tagine. We had this meal several times in Marrakesh so was fantastic to come home and cook it for our family! Also showed us how to make the mint tea, took pictures and videos of us cooking, was so wonderful, and chatted with us whilst we ate but also left us to enjoy. Amazing experience, incredibly beautiful day, and the most gracious host!

We did the cooking class together as a couple and were lucky enough to stay as a couple. As far as Imlil (valley) we traveled with another group who had booked another tour with the same provider. This allowed us to visit an argan oil factory and have a delicious breakfast there. Afterwards we went to Imlil, where Hamid, our guide for the course, picked us up, took us shopping and took us to a small village where the beautiful riad was located. On the way we talked a lot with Hamid, he told us about his life and the everyday life of the Berbers. When we arrived at the riad, a nice young woman welcomed us, with her we then cooked our tagine step by step, prepared a salad and learned how to prepare the typical Moroccan mint tea. Two very interesting and warm people. It was a great pleasure for us to spend the day with them! An absolute recommendation for everyone! :)

Shukran. It was a unique experience. The driver and guide Kamal is very punctual and with a lot of interesting information, he is a great professional. Stop at the Argán cooperative. Abdul was my guide in the cooking course. An unforgettable experience. He showed me around his town and I was warmly welcomed into his family's home. We cooked together a Moroccan salad, a lemon chicken tagine and Moroccan tea. Everything very well explained and enjoying a lot. A beautiful person and all her family. Highly recommended and unforgettable. Thank you Abdul and family. I hope to see you soon. Inshallah

This tour was my favourite of the several tours we did while in Morocco. It was amazing to go into an actual family home in the village and learn their tips and tricks on how to make a great tagine. It was the best chicken tagine we’ve had so far! We ate the meal on the home rooftop which had a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains. I highly recommend.

An amazing and authentic experience! Our driver Hassan was great and made sure that we were back in Marrakesh in time to make it to the airport. Absolutely loved this day and learned how to make authentic tagine :)
