You will trek with a local English-speaking guide, a local cook, and mules to carry your luggage. This is a challenging walk rather than a climb, and anybody in good physical condition can reach the top. Make sure you bring your camera; the views from the summit are spectacular. Mount Toubkal 4167m is the highest peak in North Africa, and is a trekking peak involving no climbing but may involve walking in crampons or holding an ice axe for security (November to April). The itinerary has been designed for keen walkers, as the ascent is non-technical, but does involve some easy scrambling and snow slopes. After the first day spent trekking, you will stay at the refuge where you will spend the night, and enjoy Berber hospitality. After an early breakfast the next day, set off and reach the summit as the sun rises, rewarding you with amazing views. The views from the summit are amazing across the mountains to Marrakech to the north, and the start of the Sahara to the south. What a fabulous 2day trekking! Sunny yet nice cool-breeze weather, beautiful view, and great exercise. Most importantly, this experience won't be possible without Marwan(who keep us safe) and Hussain(who feed us well). Marwan is friendly, welcoming, funny, protective, and engaging. Always checking up on us, making sure we are safe, and happy. Many life stories were exchanged and shared, learnt some basic dance moves, laughed a lot, ate walnut from the tree for energy booster...making the daily 6hr trekking fly by quickly. It felt we found new brother (from different mother). Lol.  Rest assured, you are on the safe hands if he is with you. All the best to you,Marwan and Hussain. Note: Bring rain coat for your trekking gear. We were lucky that the weather was nice since we weren't prepared. But may not be lucky if rain happens on your trekking day. Cheers!

My friend Sara and I had a great experience hiking up Mount Toubkal. It was our first time there and both our guide Abdell Z and our cook Mohammed made the experience wonderful. They were both very humble and we felt like we got a true sense of what Imlil valley culture is really like. Abdell was also very flexible and adapted the pace of the hiking to the group even offering to carry our bags if we were tired. We're definitely considering coming back in the winter to hike up in the snow.

Me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed this trek! Our guide was Rdouane Matat who was happy to share his vast knowledge of the mountains and was incredibly patient and caring of us, even offering to carry our bags and lending me his walking pole. Our cook, Mohamead, prepared fantastic traditional Moroccan cuisine, and was happy to cater for me as a vegetarian. This excursion was very well organised and we would definitely recommend it to anyone who is up for the challenge!

The pick up and drop off was on time, food was good, hike was not rushed, the whole experience was perfect. Our hiking guide Abdul Zinn was amazing, very helpful and even picked up my bag once I was very tired. He kept us entertained, learned out language and thought us his language.

We spent an amazing day with Radouane exploring the beautiful mountains and villages he grew up in. The views are spectacular and the long downhill segments are the reward for the climb at the start. Highly recommend this as a way to experience Berber culture and the Atlas mountains
