What people are saying about Imlil

I cannot recommend this tour highly enough! We had an incredible day with Ibrahim, the best day of our entire trip to Marrakech! Ibrahim was a great guide who provided us with a wealth of information about local customs and culture of the Berber people. We were honoured to be so welcomed by the local people in Ibrahim’s village, where we had mint tea and snacks on the veranda of their house with incredible views of the Atlas Mountains. We hiked through local villages, through the mountains and to a waterfall. Ibrahim also took us to a very authentic and local market in the mountains which was such an amazing experience and one that we would never have done on our own. We also had lunch in a local family’s house which, without exaggeration, was the best food we had the whole time we were in Marrakech. We couldn’t get over the hospitality and kindness shown to us by the local people. We had a truly authentic experience which will stay with us forever. Thank you so much, Ibrahim.

A tour into another world but very nice. Our guide Mr. Abdoul was super good. He picked us up from the parking lot in Imlil. Then our circular hike began. Mr. Adoul chose a comfortable walking pace. We were able to communicate with him wonderfully in English. He gave a lot of information about the country and the people. We made the tea break with a wonderful view of the highest mountain in North Africa. The hike went through villages where there are only donkey paths and no roads. The view of the mountains is stunning. We ate a wonderful lunch at Abdoul's Moroccan living room, which his wife prepared. Then we were brought to the shuttle to Marrakech. This excursion is highly recommended because of the guide, Mr. Abdoul. But also because not all roads are finished in Imlil. The old days are still there, but you can tell that mass tourism is on the rise, with hotels, streets and lots of people. Not yet. The old world of the Berbers.

Our guide was very friendly, he made us discover his beautiful region and his native village within the valley. We had a nice walk of around 3 hours, where we were able to visit all the small Berber villages in the valley. Thereafter we had lunch a good tajine at the family Riad, and we joined our driver to return to Marrakech. The driver was great, he told us a few little anecdotes about the trip. We recommend the excursion for an authentic escape from the bustle of Marrakech.

The best day tour from marrakesh!!! Our guide is very knowledgeable as he is a leader of the guides in the area. The walk was very nice, really pretty views, chilled a bit by the waterfalls, and had one of the best meals in our guide’s home!!!! Thank you!!!

We had great weather for a February hike in the Atlas Mountains. Our guide Abdul was very friendly and knowledgeable and guided us at a good pace to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Our lunch at the Berber house was delicious.
