1. Inle Lake: Full-Day Lake Excursion Tour
Your tour will begin as your guide picks you up from your hotel in either Inle Lake or the Phaung Daw Side jetty. From here you will take a boat trip for an excursion on Inle Lake, which is 22 kilometers long and 11 kilometers wide. The lake itself is famous for its unique one-leg rowers, typical floating gardens, local method of fishing, and village life. You will continue your tour by visiting the Phaung Daw Oo pagoda, which houses five sacred Buddha images which are almost shapeless due to the quantity of gold leaf which has been applied by worshipers. In the afternoon, you will proceed to the silk-weaving village of In Paw Khon, where you will visit Nga Phe Chaung (one of the oldest monasteries around Inle Lake), complete with its jumping cats. Following that, you will be returned to your hotel where you can enjoy the sunset from the middle of the lake from a floating boat.
