Next, head down through Torridon towards Shieldaig, passing some of Europe’s most ancient geology and wild scenery along the way. Our tour with James and the other travelers was exceptional. We traveled on single track roads spotting, deer, sheep, coos, and the stag that regularly hangs out in a parking lot. The vistas are breath taking. Our meal at Applecross was delicious also. Many have mentioned the Rest and Be Thankful Road in posts, so glad that James was driving! Eilean Donan Castle is well worth the visit. We had to make a detour because a wreck was blocking the road, so James stopped for us to get photos of Urquat Castle as we detoured.

What a tour! Breathtaking views, a fun and extremely engaging and knowledgeable guide (Helen was INCREDIBLE) and great food. The best tour across the bathrooms of Scotland (internal joke, you'll get why). The van was comfortable and the tour never felt boring for even a second, even though it's almost 12h long!

We booked this tour at the last minute and it quickly became the highlight of our entire Scotland trip! Helen was an exceptional guide with interesting knowledge, humor and even played music along the journey that had historical context to the land and places we saw. It gave the journey a special touch!
