The road hugs the coastline and offers uninterrupted views of fjords, mountains, and glaciers in all directions. You’ll enjoy unforgettable views wherever you look as the road traces its way up and down seven breathtaking fjords. Arctic foxes roam this area, so keep a close eye out for the only native land mammal in Iceland here! If you won´t have luck, you can still meet them at Arctic Fox Center and contribute to their protection. There will also be a stop at Hvitanes, one of the most accessible places to spot seals in the Westfjords, so we’ll take a look at these charming creatures here. Last stop will be by colorful Grabrok Volcanic Craters.
