Full description
Departing from your hotel in Istanbul at 08:00, head directly for the port and board a ferry-boat that will take you to the city of Bursa. The streets of Bursa, the first capital of the Ottoman Empire, are filled with relics of the past, including historical buildings and artifacts that tell the story of Turkish history, culture and civilization. Often called "Green Bursa," the city is also filled with lush parks and gardens, vast forests, and orchards. Take the cable car to the Mt. Uludağ, where you will enjoy a BBQ lunch before visiting Ulu Cami (Grand Mosque). The mosque, built between 1399 and 1400, is still the largest mosque in Bursa. There, you can admire its exquisite calligraphy and the great craftsmanship. Afterwards, you may enjoy some famous local Turkish products, including roasted chestnuts and Turkish sweets. Before the day is done, pay a visit to Bursa's silk market and then begin your journey back to Istanbul.

The trip was quite good but too long. We spent most of the time picking up people from the hotel and wasted quite a amount of time. The guide Muhammed from Syria was super friendly he explained about the trip as much as possible. The places visited was good we covered the 600 years old tree in bursa and we visited the uludag mountain but sadly the cable car was closed because of strong wind. The food offered by them was not as appealing but was eatable. Over all the trip was a long trip and the guide was super friendly and the travel was enjoyable.

It was an exciting activity. Bursa is green and beautiful a total contrast to Istanbul and snow covered mountain and trees were a treat to the eyes. Our driver Murad was superb. My concern is the time management. The activity could have easily finished in ten hours and it took more than 16 hours. It would have taken longer if the participants have not pooled the money for transfer over the bridge and have gone via ferry. Our guide was a female, very pleasant and very knowledgeable however had the worst time management skills. She was unable to gather participants in time and made unnecessarily long stops at shops. We reached for lunch at 3.00 pm and to the mountain at around 4.30pm which was the high light of the trip. Long delays even at that stage in gathering participants. Overall a nice day was spoiled by bad time keeping.

The only opportunity to visit the highest mountains in Turkey, around 2600m and the fantastic views. Mountain complicated and dangerous roads, mountain lift, ferry rides, northern Istanbul views and the best dining out of all tours. The ineffective last shopping center is expensive and there is no assortment of choice. terribly poorly prepared guides, very bad information in bad English. The final decision - to get to the mountains as high as possible this tour program can be recommended.
