Your first stop will be the Jaisalmer Fort, a fort famously known as the Golden Fort of Rajasthan. It was constructed by Raja Jaisal, the Rajput ruler in the year 1156 A.D., and ranks amongs the largest forts in the world. The golden and yellow mixed sandstone give the fort a magical appearance, with the fort itself rising from the desert sands like a mirage.
