Seville: 3–Hour Historical Tour

4. Seville: 3–Hour Historical Tour

Seville has been one of the most important cities in Spain since ancient times; the first settlers of the site have been identified with the Tartessian culture. The destruction of their settlement is attributed to the Carthaginians, giving way to the emergence of the Roman city of Hispalis, built very near the Roman colony of Itálica. At the time of the Almoravids, Seville was the best walled city in Europe. Following the riots of 1868 the revolutionaries toppled many of those walls, leaving sections of Macarena, Puerta de Córdoba and Alcázar. On this route, discover the doors of Seville, where carriages were stopped, mysteries unravelled,  stories unfolded; and take a cycling tour of the historic area, seeing the defensive route of the old Seville. Puerta Carmona, Puerta Osario, Puerta Triana - see them all, stopping at each one.

My husband and I on a visit to Seville had not thought about doing this experience but we decided at the last moment and I am happy to have done it. Gabriele the Italian boy who guided us was very prepared, not only that, he showed his enthusiasm in telling us the story, the monuments. He had an excellent knowledge of the city of Seville and in addition he made connections with the stories of other countries. When we asked for curiosity he always answered abundantly.

Sabine was fun, informative and energetic. She took us to all the great sights as well as showed us her favorite parts about Sevilla. We got the touristy experience along with the local feel. We enjoyed the tour and 10/10 recommend it. Don’t miss out!

Mehdi was an excellent guide on our bike tour. Would recommend the guide and the company. He took us to historical sites and was very knowledgeable, interesting. The tour ran over half an hour and was well worth the cost.

Great tour. Great guide. Visited so many more places than we could have done on foot. Good fun and really interesting. Our guide knew quirky facts about all the places we stopped at.

The guide was really informative and the bike experience was awesome.
