During your ride, hear stories and facts about the Columbia Icefield and the glaciers around you. Once on the Glacier, hop off the vehicle to walk on the extremely thick, 25,000-year-old ice and drink cold, pure water from the glacier itself. This is an experience you will never forget.

The tour was so well organized. From the info desk and guides, to the bus pick-up to the foot of the glacier pick-up, to the glacier walk, to the Skywalk...we were treated well and all went smoothly. The knowledgeable and entertaining drivers kept us informed and happy. And of course plenty of time and opportunity was given to marvek and photograph the absolutely breathtaking scenery.

Too many people to take pics. Large ice explorers are super hot inside and go very slow so not that exciting of a drive up to the glacier. Informational. Glacier was fun and nice to see. Skywalk also not that big and way too crowded to take any decent pics. Glacier is worth it.

Seamless booking online. At first I thought $250 for my wife and I was expensive, but considering the scope and the complexity of the trip to the glacier, first by a comfortable bus and an informative driver, and then boarding just a BEAST of a vehicle to ride to the glacier with a driver/guide who was entertaining as well as knowledgeable. Make sure to bring a pop bottle or water bottle to capture pure glacier water that is completely free of impurities and safe to drink straight from a running stream of melting glacier ice. Deliciously cold. Then after spending 30 minutes on the glacier, a return bus trip but to the glass canyon overlook, similar to the one at the Grand Canyon. So I'd say that after experiencing the Columbian Icefield Glacier Adventure: Ice Explorer and Skywalk and being able to experience walking on a glacier that is a part of the last ice age and drinking the pure water it gives up that the price paid is a bargain. And really, when you think about it, A GLACIER!!!!
