Kangaroo Island: Full Day Guided Flinders Chase Focus Tour

4. Kangaroo Island: Full Day Guided Flinders Chase Focus Tour

Explore the remote wilderness of the western end of Kangaroo Island. Journey toward the expanse of Flinders Chase National Park, home to a wide variety of plants and animals, and observe some of the most intriguing animal species in their habitat. Visit Rocky River, an open grassland home to kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, platypus, and many birds, including the rare Cape Barren goose which uses the area to breed during winter. At Cape du Couedic, visit a fur seal colony which now numbers over 20,000 after being decimated by hunting in the early 1800s. If weather permits, stop for a delicious picnic lunch at an iconic clifftop with beautiful ocean views. Served with local wines, beer, soft drinks, and water, enjoy a selection of Kangaroo Island and South Australia produce. A bit further up the coast is another impressive stone structure. Remarkable Rocks and huge granite boulders have been carved by rain, salt, and a relentless wind giving them the shape of a surrealist sculpture.

Great, informative and individual tour with many impressions of the island. Many koalas, seals and dolphins. Delicious lunch. Great schedule, no waiting times. We were happy not to drive the unpaved roads with our own rental car.

The guide/driver tailor the day to us. This was the high light of our 2 weeks in Australia.

alternative tour, due to the blocking of half the island, was good
