Admire views of the vineyards, coast, and rolling hills along the way. Upon arrival at Cape Jervis, board the SeaLink ferry for the 45-minute crossing to Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island, where, a local driver/guide will take you on a tour of South Australia’s premier nature-based tourism destination. Go to Seal Bay Conservation Park for a beach walk with an experienced guide. Spend time amongst a colony of rare Australian sea lions. Get up close to the wild creatures as they frolic and laze about. Then, enjoy a delicious 2-course lunch.  Spend the afternoon at Flinders Chase National Park, renowned as a sanctuary for native Australian animals such as kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, and echidnas. Admire the rugged coastline on walks around Admirals Arch and Remarkable Rocks. Stroll down the Admirals Arch boardwalk to a rugged cliff face that reveals the spectacular rock arch formation, a safe haven for playful long-nosed fur seals. Keep a lookout for more kangaroos and wallabies on your return to Penneshaw or your return ferry back to Adelaide. Arrive at approximately 22:40 and be dropped off at your selected Adelaide CBD accommodation.

Have the opportunity to swim with wild dolphins or among seals and snorkel some of Kangaroo Island's stunning coastline. Enjoy an amazing wildlife encounter on an action-packed boat tour. Arrive at The Visitor Information Centre in Penneshaw, where you will be fitted into a wetsuit, mask, snorkel and flippers and provided with a safety brief. Jump on board the vessel in search of the marine life that inhabits the incredible coastline. Spot the cheeky seals lounging on the rocks and playing in the water. Then, it's time to dive in. These curious seals can be quite interactive and playful and provide a fun snorkelling experience. Search for the dolphin pods that reside in these coastal waters and take the opportunity to swim alongside them in the wild. A truly unforgettable wildlife encounter. Your guide will also provide informative commentary along the way. PLEASE NOTE THESE ARE WILD ANIMALS. THIS TOUR IS SWIM WITH DOLPHINS OR SEALS - It depends on what occurs on the day and what the wildlife chooses to do. We will try our best to swim with both, however it may on be with DOLPHINS ONLY OR SEALS ONLY.

Day 1: Today, an early start is required to catch your 6.45am SeaLink bus transfer from Adelaide CBD to the ferry terminal at Cape Jervis. Board the ferry for a 45-minute cruise to Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island. Your Untamed Escapes Guide will meet you here. Take a scenic drive to Pennington Bay and climb the 500 steps to the top of Prospect Hill, the highest point on Kangaroo Island, for rewarding views and to get your bearings. Pop into a honey farm to learn all about these fascinating creatures and, of course, do a tasting and visit family-owned Dudley Wines. Come late afternoon, arrive at our eco-campsite, featuring private access to one of Kangaroo Island’s most stunning beaches – Antechamber Bay. Tonight, roll out your swag underneath the billions of stars of the Milky Way and feel an incredible connection with nature. Today we drive approximately 240 km. Day 2: Visit iconic Flinders Chase National Park, located at the northwestern point of the island. This park is renowned for its rock formations, impressive beaches, and abundant wildlife. At Admirals Arch, wander along a boardwalk as you soak up the serenity and keep your eyes peeled for the resident New Zealand fur seals. Marvel at the Remarkable Rocks, shaped by nature for over 500 million years. Take a bush walk at Weirs Cove before a picnic lunch to refuel. After lunch, it’s time for an incredible wildlife encounter. Seal Bay is home to the third-largest colony of endangered Australian sea lions, with around 800 calling the bay home. Join a 45-minute tour with the National Parks & Wildlife guides. Follow a boardwalk through the dunes down to the beach, and on the way, pass sea lions snoozing or even lying in the middle of the beach path. Back at camp reflect and relax over dinner before rolling out your swag and counting shooting stars. Today, we drive approximately 340 km. Day 3: Start the final day of your tour with a morning bush walk not far from camp, and after packing up, we'll bid farewell to Happiness. Along the quiet north coast of the island, find spectacular bird life in the shallow, calm waters of the lagoon and in the trees. In the warmer months, weave your way through a labyrinth of caves before emerging at the beach voted best in Australia in 2023 - Stokes Bay. If the weather is right, enjoy some free time to snorkel among the rock pools or soak up the surrounding landscape. This afternoon, have the opportunity to "give back" during a conservation volunteering experience. What we do this afternoon depends on the time of year, but you might find yourself collecting seeds, helping at a not-for-profit wildlife organisation or doing a beach clean-up. After a fabulous Kangaroo Island tour, arrive in Penneshaw for your 5.30 pm ferry back to the mainland. Once you arrive in Cape Jervis, your SeaLink bus connection will have you back in Adelaide at 9 pm.

Stop at the fascinating Birds of Prey Display at Raptor Domain for an educational, interactive, and inspiring experience. View the only “In-Flight” Birds of Prey display in South Australia, Next, go to Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery for a delicious 2-course lunch followed by a guided tour of the distillery. Finish off with some free time in the souvenir shop to buy eucalyptus oil products. Continue to the Clifford’s Honey Farm shop, home of the famous island homemade honey ice-cream. See a working beehive, taste different varieties of pure Kangaroo Island Ligurian honey, and sample and buy honey beauty products to take home as a memento. Lastly, take part in a structured wine tasting with peaceful views of the surrounding vineyard at the False Cape Wines cellar, which was built from recycled wood, jetty timbers, and limestone sourced on the property.  End the tour at the Penneshaw Hotel where you have ample time to have dinner (at your own expense) before returning to the Penneshaw Ferry Terminal for your ferry and coach transfer back to Adelaide.

Get a glimpse of Kangaroo Island’s history, culture, and try out some local products on this half-day exploration of Kingscote and nearby local producers. Enjoy panoramic views as you set off, including Pelican Lagoon where you may get a glimpse of a few Australian birdlife favourites and don’t forget to keep an eye out for wild kangaroos. Visit some historical landmarks and iconic local producers on this guided half-day tour. The first stop is the iconic Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery. Here you can learn about the manufacturing process and history of the eucalyptus distillery via a short DVD. You can also view a large range of local products and produce. Keep a look out for the friendly local kangaroos and the emu’s that give the area their name. Then travel to the township of Kingscote, the largest town on the island and South Australia’s oldest European settlement. You will have one hour to explore the main township, shop at the local gift shops or have lunch in one of the local cafes. Next, stop at the Kangaroo Island Ligurian Bee Co where you can taste and purchase some of the purest honey in the world. Lastly, drive past the famous Silo Art which has become a fan favourite. Marvel at the largest kangaroo in Australia and the glossy black cockatoo. Local informative history is provided whilst you enjoy a return transfer back to Penneshaw.

After getting picked up from the port, begin with a scenic drive to Pennington Bay. Take in spectacular views of the Penneshaw coastline as you arrive at a stunning beach, where dolphins and whales can often be spotted. Snap some amazing photos and head out on your food journey. Visit Clifford's Honey to learn about the history of the Ligurian Bee on Kangaroo Island and taste the different honey varieties. Move on to Emu Ridge Eucalyptus, where you can learn how a traditional Australian bush product is made at South Australia's only commercial eucalyptus oil distillery. Hear how the distillation process takes place before going over to Emu Bay and the Lavender Farm for morning tea. Stop at Kingscote for some time off to wander around and make your way to Bay of Shoal Wines for a great wine tasting. Finally, visit Kangaroo Island Spirits for some gin, vodka, and liquor tasting, then be driven back to the cruise ship terminal at Penneshaw.
