Incredible location, views and walk. Wish it had been the long walk to make the most of being at Kata Tjuta. Guides were friendly and presented information well. Breakfast was cold prepackaged, carbohydrate and sugar rich food. Pretty basic and frankly disappointing. So just suspend your tastebuds and go for the sublime experience of Kata Tjuta alone.

Great morning

With “breakfast bag” (incl. Muesli & milk, orange juice, muesli bars, apple, nut and kernel mixture) and hot drink and biscuits of your choice, we went to the viewpoint, which is located on a hill! You are there, as you would expect, with many other tourists and can watch the spectacular sunrise in peace. Afterwards, we continue to the Kata Tjutas and take a short hike, which is strenuous but feasible for untrained people. Be sure to wear ankle-high hiking shoes as there is a lot of loose rubble. At the 1st lookout point you have the choice to hike on an even more difficult level or to return to the bus and take an easier but equally beautiful hike with the 2nd guide. The Valley of Winds was unfortunately closed on this day due to the high temperatures!
