Full description
Leave Dublin for the day on a truly scenic drive with amazing scenery stretching as far as the eyes can see. You’ll go to Kilkenny, once the medieval capital of Ireland, and home to Ireland’s finest Norman castle. Kilkenny is steeped in history – it was also the location of one of Ireland’s earliest witch trials, the famous story of Dame Alice Kyteler and her servant Petronilla. En route to Glendalough, drive into the wild Wicklow Mountains of County Carlow. Watch as the landscape changes from lush green pastures and gentle valleys, to the glacial valleys of Wicklow Gap. Continue to the monastic city of St. Kevin at Glendalough, best known for the wedding scenes in the blockbuster movie “Braveheart” and famous as the location for the film “PS I Love You.” Once you arrive in Glendalough, you’ll have time to explore one of the most beautiful sights in Ireland, in an area renowned for its magnificent scenery and Monastic ruins that date back to the 10th century.

Daniel is a great guide and has great knowledge. He is very kind and willing to answer questions. Michael is an amazing driver. He made sure we arrived all right. He also had great knowledge about the history of the place. Thank you Daniel and Michael for the Tour we ever had

Good tour, cheap (14 euros), the time at the attractions is enough (about 2 hours per place). If they wish to go longer they should pay a full day tour or go on their own; but 2 hours per place visited, it is more than good since the places are beautiful, but they are not the big deal either.

I would 100% recommend this tour; - In the morning the bus was ready early so we didn't have to wait in the cold. - Lisa (with Irish spelling, sorry ;)) is very knowledgeable about Ireland and Dublin so the tour is very educational. She is also very nice, great person! - We were the first tour group to arrive at Glendalough. This allowed us to enjoy the tranquility and shoot beautiful pictures. - John, the driver drives very safe and is a nice man who likes to joke. The demonstration with the sheep is very nice. If you don't find this interesting, you can decide to walk longer in Glendalough. It's nice to have this freedom.
