Full description
Spend the day in one of Europe’s finest coastal areas on a full-day tour of the Ring of Kerry, and enjoy panoramic views, strolls around enchanting villages, and more. Depart Killarney and drive to the Iveragh Peninsula, the official name for the Ring of Kerry. Get an insight into the ancient heritage of Ireland. See stone forts and standing stones in a landscape carved out of rock in the Ice Age. Drive through the home town of the Puck Fair ancient Celtic festival at Killorglin. Dating back to 1613, this is one of the oldest festivals in the world, where a goat is crowned “King of the Village.” Enjoy panoramic views of Dingle Bay and Inch Beach. Weather permitting, see the Blasket Islands off the Celtic shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Next, go to the picturesque village of Waterville overlooking Ballinskelligs Bay. See the misty Skellig Rocks, known for its early Christian monastery. Discover why there is a statue of Charlie Chaplin in the village. Stop in the charming village of Sneem, one of Ireland's most colorful villages, with 2 squares and a beautiful bridge where the River Sneem meets the currents of Kenmare Bay. Enter Killarney National Park, perhaps the most beautiful national park in Ireland, with magnificent views of the Lakes of Killarney and Black Valley from the stops at Molls Gap and Ladies View (Leprechaun Crossing). Marvel at the cascades of the Torc Waterfall in the woods of Friers Glenn.

I think our guide and driver were Jim and Dennis. I appreciated their efforts to try to get us everywhere, even though the ring was super crowded from being closed the day prior. I was a bit disappointed we couldn’t see Torq falls, but I understand there wasn’t anywhere to park. I also appreciated that they allowed for plenty of bathroom breaks and photo opportunities. Given the other tours we took while traveling, I was grateful these guides didn’t make us feel pressured. They did a good job.

Best of Ireland!

Our tour was one of the best things I did in Ireland! It was one brilliant day, full of beautiful sights, on and off the bus! Our guide was incredible. He was full of knowledge and was fun and very accommodating. It really was a favorite day. Plus, it was fabulous to not be driving it so I could see all the beautiful sites!

The views were amazing, it was an entertaining day. Unfortunately there was a rally car race happening that day which prevented us from seeing the waterfall which was the whole reason I chose this tour. Otherwise, great with plenty of bathroom stops and a great lunch at The Lobster of cottage pie.
