The tour departs from Thesan Island Harbour Town and heads out onto the pristine Knysna Lagoon, home to an array of native birds and marine life. On board the ‘Oyster Boat', spend a leisurely 75-minutes exploring the lagoon as you sail to the breathtaking and imposing Knysna Heads. As you glide along the waters, sit back and relax whilst soaking up the famous South African sunshine with the wind in your hair. From start to finish the tour provides breathtaking views of the surrounding waters as well as the Knysna coastline. During the boat ride your guide shares fascinating insight into the history, heritage, and culture of Knysna, from a local’s perspective.

Depart from the quaint island village of Thesen Island in Knysna. Make sure to spend some time exploring the island's boutique shops, roasteries, and eateries before boarding.   Get welcomed on board your luxury 44-foot catamaran by your captain and host with a glass of bubbly. Then follow the picturesque channel past Leisure Isle, Featherbed Nature Reserve, the old oyster beds and through the world famous Knysna Heads (weather permitting) before setting sail into the Indian Ocean. Admire the coastline's surprising array of marine life, such as birds, seals, dolphins, sharks, whales, and much more. You may even get the chance to catch fish.  Enjoy panoramic views of the sunset over the port as you head back to the jetty.

Experience the stunning, tropical beauty that is Garden Route National Park on a mountain scooter-bike. Used in the Alps during the summer season on the snowless ski slopes, the thick tires and solid design of your scooter-bike allows you to carve Garden Route’s trails with ease. Each scooter can fit one adult and a child passenger. After meeting your expert guides, you’ll board a scenic minibus ride to start your descent into the national park. After a safety briefing, you’ll head out onto the sweeping bends, criss-crossing down long hills within the lush forest. Keep on the lookout for local wildlife, like the majestic Knysna loerie, the shy bushbuck, and plentiful wild boar. After 2 hours going downhill on the trails, you’ll head back to the meeting point via minibus, never needing to worry about the uphill climb.

This 45-minute adventure shows you the Knysna region's legendary and diverse estuary and all that it has to offer the coastal town of Knysna. The estuary has a compelling history, fascinating birdlife and is inhabited by 43% of South Africa's plant and animal life. View the rugged and iconic Knysna Heads, a unique sandstone formation, and the magnificent ancient caves nestled amongst the coves of this beautiful coastline. Depending on the tide, you may be able to see the famous Pacquita shipwreck found at the mouth of the Knysna Heads. An experienced skipper will also share with you information and stories about the area and how these natural formations came to be.  This trip is ideal for families and large groups. The tour does not venture out into the ocean, but rather shows you all that the Knysna Estuary has to offer - this is certainly the best place to witness the beauty of the flora and fauna of the region!

Famous for their large waves, exit the Heads safely with a professional skipper at the helm of a custom-built adventure boat. Once out at sea, jet along the coastline and enjoy the pristine scenery. Be sure to keep a look out for the abundant marine life that inhabits the waters. Travel into the vast sea caves and get close to the rocks so you can experience the amazing power and beauty of the ocean up close.
