Depart from the port of Kardamena in Kos and take a 1-hour cruise to the volcanic island of Nisyros. Upon arrival, transfer to a waiting bus that’ll take you on a short drive to the volcano. Listen to an informative guide along the way. Get information about the volcano and the history of the island. Once you have passed through passport control and customs, enjoy a full day to explore this incredible ancient city on your own.  When you arrive in the port, gaze in awe at the beautiful white houses built amphitheatrically on the hillside, dozens of sailboats and yachts, plus one of the most imposing castles in the world. Take a walk along the picturesque streets and admire the architecture. Take in the historical sights and ancient ruins, including the Castle and the ancient Greek city of Halicarnassus, the Windmilles, and the ancient Greek Theatre with 13,000 seats. If you are not a history lover, take a stroll through the small streets and get to know the local cuisine instead. Relax on board the boat as you travel to Pserimos, a small island with only 60 inhabitants. Spend over an hour in Pserimos enjoying the sun, water, and lovely views on the sandy beach. Hang out in one of the local taverns located directly on the beach. Later, leave Pserimos and make your way toward the small island of Plati. Anchor near the coast of the island to enjoy some free time to swim while the crew prepares lunch. Savor a lunch of traditional Greek dishes such as souvlaki, Greek salad, tzatziki, and fruit. head to Vathy, one of the most beautiful fishing villages in the Dodecanese. Your bus will pick you up from your hotel and after a short scenic drive, will transport you to the city centre of Zia. Zia is an enchanting little village that lies at the base of Mount Dikeos, the highest mountain of Kos island, that culminates at 846m above sea level. The village has kept its traditional feel and has become one of the major tourist attractions of the island. Here you will find many little shops selling local products, arts and crafts. The atmosphere is very relaxed and you will get to sip your drink or dine on a romantic terrace while admiring the most beautiful sunset on Kos. As an extra service, your guide can also reserve you a table at the restaurant of your choice, ensuring your whole evening runs smoothly. You will have approximately 2.5 hours of free time. At the prearranged meeting time, the bus will pick you up from the same place it dropped you off to take you back to your hotel.

Our day will start from the port of Kardamena, where our Pirate boat, will depart at 10am to start this unique cruise to the 3 islands. Within the first hour, we will be arriving at the first stop which is the uninhabited island of St. Antonios. This island is a natural paradise and people can visit the church of St. Antonios to admire this point of view and the peace the place has to offer. Enjoy the rest of your time here, by swimming in the clear waters or just sunbathing under the Greek sun! During this time, our crew will have prepared a Greek bbq lunch for you in order to have your meal on board. Around noon, we will be arriving at the famous island of Nisyros. As soon as you get off the boat, you will be in Mandraki, the capital and the port of Nisyros. From here, you can optionally climb about 200 steps to reach the mountain Monastery of Panagia Spiliani. From this point, you can admire the panoramic view of Nisyros and the beautiful Orthodox Church of Panagia as it is one of the jewels of the island! If you just want to relax, explore the town with its unique atmosphere, stroll through the narrow streets, visit the souvenir shops and then go to Ilikiomeni square to enjoy a coffee, or maybe a traditional dessert! Optionally, participants have the option to visit the volcano of the island with an extra charge. Please request more information from the crew! Last but not least is the third stop at the island of Yali. Yali is a volcanic small island which belongs to the municipality of Nisyros and has only 21 inhabitats. With beautiful views of this island, spend time on the boat, sunbathe, try the best cocktails & drinks under the sun, test your diving skills and have a great fund and relaxing time! That beautiful day around tree different island, has come to an end. At 17:30 we will be back to the port of Kardamena.

From Kardamena: Nisyros Island Day Trip

10. From Kardamena: Nisyros Island Day Trip

You'll arrive at Kardamena port and get on board the 'Captain Dimitris' boat, which sets sail at 9:30 am. You'll have five hours to spend on the island of Nisyros, which, despite its small size, boasts of magnificent natural beauty and cultural heritage. Optionally (for an extra charge of 8€/person) from Mandraki Harbor, you can take a bus to the highest point of the island, 2000 feet above sea level, and get a panoramic view of the surroundings. If you wish, you can also descend into the volcanic crater and witness the moving volcano and bubbling sulfur springs, making it an unforgettable and unique experience. Our bus will then take you back to Mandraki, a 25-minute journey by road. You can climb around 200 steps to reach the mountain monastery of Panagia Spirani or relax and explore the charming town of Mandraki before returning to the boat at 3:30 pm for the journey back to Kardamena. The travel time is approximately 45 minutes, depending on weather conditions. You'll return to Kardamena at 4:30 pm, and the beautiful day comes to an end.
