After being picked up from the port in Kos, take a stunning boat cruise across the Aegean Sea to Bodrum. Once you have passed through passport control and customs, enjoy a full day to explore this incredible ancient city on your own.  When you arrive in the port, gaze in awe at the beautiful white houses built amphitheatrically on the hillside, dozens of sailboats and yachts, plus one of the most imposing castles in the world. Take a walk along the picturesque streets and admire the architecture. Take in the historical sights and ancient ruins, including the Castle and the ancient Greek city of Halicarnassus, the Windmilles, and the ancient Greek Theatre with 13,000 seats. If you are not a history lover, take a stroll through the small streets and get to know the local cuisine instead. Enjoy a Turkish coffee or tea at a traditional coffee shop, or try 'kebab' and other traditional 'mezedes' and sweet 'kazandibi' - some of the most popular Turkish specialties. After that, head into the really big bazaar for a chance to practice your bargaining skills.

Shop for all kinds of souvenirs, folk art, crafts, and clothing. Soak up the incredible lively atmosphere and enjoy the aromas of the spices and local produce. Many stallholders accept euros and almost everyone speaks Greek or English. For a truly Turkish experience, visit a Turkish bath for a little relaxation. Discover how Turkish bathhouses have held a special place in the Turkish culture for hundreds of years. Relax in the steam roam while a highly skilled masseur works away the stresses and strains that have built up in your body during the year. At the end of your incredible day trip, take the boat back to Kos Port in time for your onward journey.

Very easy process. Was contacted day before for passport info and where to collect ticket. Ferry was a relaxing 40 minutes. In Bodrum roughly 5 hours. Enough time to visit the castle (wear good shoes), do some shopping, have a drink by the beach and lunch at the marina. A good day out.

The transfer by ship was problem-free. However, that we were picked up 30 minutes too late and had to wait 1 hour in the minibus for two people who did not come after all, it annoyed me. Everyone gives their phone number when registering in order to be reachable just for such cases. For me it was 90 minutes less vacation. What a shame ...

The boat tour to Bodrum was by and large nice. It's just a shame that you don't have enough time on site because it takes up a lot of time for passport controls and waiting. We were picked up at the hotel at 8:00 am and taken to Kos town. There we got the tickets for the boat and were then left to ourselves by our guide. Around 8:20 am the waiting for the control and the departure at 9:30 am started. But we had a speedboat "Apollon II" that brought us to Bodrum in about 20 minutes. after passport control it was about 10.30 a.m. At 3:20 p.m. we should be there again to cast off again at 4 p.m. The time in Bodrum is very short. You then have about 5 hours at your disposal. Bodrum is very beautiful in itself but also very stressful. You can stroll through the shopping streets, but the highlight for us was the bazaar that takes place every Tuesday.
