Full description

Enjoy a full-day of relaxation on this speedboat trip to Phi Phi Islands, lapped by turquoise waters and shaded by towering limestone rocks. Scene of the blockbuster movie “The Beach,” Phi Phi is a paradise destination just 30 miles from mainland Thailand. Composed of 2 islets, Phi Phi Don is the larger, known for its fine beaches and coral formations. Tourist facilities are available along the 2 beautiful curved bays of Ton Sai and Lodalam.

During the day you can visit Maya Bay, where “The Beach” was filmed, swim in some of the world's clearest water, snorkel at beautiful Hin Klang, and explore Viking Cave, where thousands of swallows nest. Discover the hidden coves of Phi Phi Lee, such as Phi Lee Bay, where the limestone cliffs rise straight up from the waters and are only reachable by boat. Snorkel among the coral gardens of Ao Maya and Ao Lo Sama.

Surrounded by flawless sand beaches, expect to see abundant reef fish and even the occasional leopard shark.

For those who want to explore more coves, lagoons and beaches around Phi Phi Leh, book a longtail boat ride directly on site at a small extra fee. This optional activity is operated by local fishermen from the community and is not part of the tour.

You will also visit Monkey Beach, which is located on the southwestern side of Ton Sai Bay. It is a simply stunning 150-meter-long strip of white powdery sand fringed by emerald water.

During low tide, you can see a colony of monkeys having their breakfast down on the beach. The morning session will end on Phi Phi Don, the larger of the 2 sister islands. A rich Thai buffet lunch is served in the restaurant of Phi Phi Cliff Beach Resort. Then it is time to explore the island path of Ton Sai along the beautiful curved bays of Ton Sai and Loh Dalum Bay. In the afternoon you will have to chance to swim and snorkel at Bamboo Island, a tiny and flat island covered by lush vegetation and entirely surrounded by a strip of white sand and a reef that spreads up to 500 meters from the shore.

The uninhabited paradise located 3 miles (5 km) off the northern tip of Koh Phi Phi Don provides visitors with the feeling of swimming in an aquarium.

Absolutely wonderful day on board the boat! Our guide Sally was a huge part of the experience, amazing woman! Well organized and well on time at every place we stopped at. The snorkeling was superb, got to see a lot of animals that I hardly knew existed in reality. Water was available for everyone, got fresh fruit as mellis in the afternoon. Easy pick-up and drop-off at the hotel.

The tour is well organized, pick-up, speed boat ride and lunch were handled routinely without any problems. You have to be aware that it is mass tourism. All in all, it seems a bit strictly timed, you can never relax in one place, it goes on immediately. It was a pity, especially for Maya Bay Beach. Another negative point is that some of the stops given like Monkey Beach, Viking Cave were just a very short stop on the water and you couldn't see anything. In fact, Railey wasn't addressed at all and should be removed from the description. However, I really enjoyed the two stops with snorkeling and swimming. Since I didn't know how else to get all these things together with Maya Beach in one day, there was no alternative to the tour. Good weather is mandatory for the tour, so check the forecast.

overall it was really a very good tour! Our tour guide Sally was very nice, the spots were good - of course you have to get rid of the illusion that not many other people are visiting the same sights. In addition, you are sometimes hindered by other participants in the timing, since punctuality is a foreign word to some. Our highlight was definitely the snorkeling spot, here we saw three baby sharks. Organization and lunch were very good - so the tour is highly recommended.
