Full description

Enjoy an island-hopping adventure to 7 beautiful islands near Krabi on a long tail boat tour. Visit a variety of picturesque islands and enjoy a tasty BBQ dinner as you watch the magical sunset on Koh Poda.

Start the 7 island sunset tour with pickup from your hotel in Krabi, or at one of several meeting points in the area. Depart by traditional longtail boat from Nopparat Thara Pier in Ao Nang, with a short stopover at Railay Beach to pick up fellow travelers.

Continue to Koh Yawasam and dive into a paradise of large shallow gardens of coral surrounded by flat sandy areas. Cruise around the chicken-shaped rock at Koh Kai. Enjoy an excellent photo opportunity at this oddly-shaped natural landmark.

The next stop is at Koh Tub for some beach time or (at low tide) a walk across the spectacular sandbank that connects it to Chicken and Mor Islands nearby. Swim in the crystal-clear water at Koh Tan Ming, a small rock islet in front of Koh Poda.

After plenty of exertion and activity, you will then enjoy a delicious BBQ dinner right on the beach of Koh Poda as the sun goes down. Complete the evening with a short swim amidst the bio-luminescent plankton in the surrounding ocean of Koe Raeng before returning to the pier in Ao Nang.

The team at Krabi Sunset Tours is very professional and took care of us well. We unfortunately had poor weather due to the monsoon season, which prevented us from going to Yawasam Island and enjoying the sandbar between Chicken and Tup Island. The rain also washed out the blue plankton in the shallow waters. We still had a fair snorkelling experience though. It depends on your luck! Best to go between November and April when the weather is good in Krabi. Also not recommended if you get sea-sick, as the longtail boat can get quite rocky, or it may be good to bring some medicine. The BBQ dinner was fantastic and became the highlight for us on a rainy day!

I booked the day before the trip. I was contacted by email to inform me of the booking confirmation and the time I would be collected. I was informed that I would be collect between 12pm-12.10pm, I was not collected until 12.34pm. I had to contact the company via phone and WhatsApp to ask why I had not been collected yet. Once we arrived at Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park there were a lot of people standing around. There was a lot of waiting and we didn’t actually board the boat until after 1pm. At this point I was becoming quite agitated and frustrated. When we eventually set sail on the long tail boat, the water was very choppy and all the passengers were completely soaked by the waves splashing onto the boat. It was also quite a tight squeeze on the boat. There were 2 opportunities to snorkel at different islands. The fish were colourful and we were able to see a lot of different fish.

The tour was great. We had a lot of time for snorkling and enjoying sandy beaches (way nicer than on mainland). The guide was funny and helpful and they took a lot of pictures of us. The dinner was self served bufet with chicken wings, vegetables, green curry and fruit. We did't have a really nice sunset but the spot is spectacular. We just havent yet recived the photos.
