Full description

Discover the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum on a private or shared tour from Krakow. Get a new perspective on the Holocaust as you explore the former concentration camp with a local guide. Enjoy a tour of the Jewish Quarter and ghetto or Schindler's Factory with the private tour option.

After being picked up in a private vehicle, learn about the history of the site on your journey to Auschwitz. Upon arrival, follow your guide to the main building to meet a museum representative who will guide you through the site.

Walk around the former Auschwitz I concentration camp and the Auschwitz II extermination camp on an approximately 3.5-hour tour. See original features such as wooden watchtowers and fences, the residential barracks, a gas chamber, and a crematorium.

Inside the buildings, see the surviving photos, documents, and personal belongings of the victims of Nazi crimes. After the tour, you can stay as long as you like in the Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp. Your local guide will be there to show you more if you continue your stay. If you have not booked the optional visits to Krakow's Jewish Quarter and the Krakow ghetto or Oskar Schindler's Factory (you can choose one if booking the private tour option), your tour ends here with a return transfer to your pickup location in Krakow.

If you chose one of the optional visits with the private tour option, after returning to Krakow and having a lunch break (if needed), head to the Jewish Quarter and ghetto or the factory to continue your tour with your private guide.

Oskar Schindler's Factory: Arrive at the former factory of Oskar Schindler and see the main exhibition that relates to the time Krakow was under Nazi occupation, shown through the lens of Polish, Jewish, and German people who lived in Krakow at that time.

Listen as your private guide gives you a better perspective of what happened in Krakow and Poland since the September of 1939. Get an insider look at Oskar Schindler and his story.

Jewish Quarter and Krakow Ghetto: Head first to the former Jewish district, where your private guide will show you one of the most significant parts of Krakow, full of intriguing nooks and crannies, filled with memories of the past.

Centuries ago, the district was known as Kazimierz, a separate bustling city where Polish and Jewish cultures lived in symbiosis. Before the end of the tour and drop-off back at your pickup location, taste some polish famous street food.

Our tour organisers ""Krakow4you" were excellent from start to finish, from the moment Alicja met us at our hotel she drove the 4 of us to Auchwitz & Birkenau. Whilst driving she gave us all the history about the trip and the local area, she then proceeded to get us all through passport control and onto Margaret ( not certain of the Polish pronouncement ) who would take over and give us an in depth history lesson on the 2 camps. Once both camps had been seen, which was an unbelievable experience Alicja drove us back to the hotel. Many thanks to "Kraków4you".

We would thoroughly recommend Krakow4you private tours, luxury transport, and beautifully hosted by Alicja. Alicja was a font of knowledge, giving us lots of useful background information on our Auschwitz tour, and also helping us understand the Polish people and culture, Alicja also gave us some great local recommendations, for example suggesting Morskie Oko for some traditional Polish food which we loved. Our actual tour of Aushchwitz - Birkenau was respectful, informative, humbling and emotional.

Our tour guide, was well informed from the moment she picked us up at 0630 until or return to Krackow she continually provided interesting facts and stories of not just Auschwitz, but Krakow as well. She explained things in such detail, that only someone who has studied the material would respect. The tour through Auschwitz was more of a walking memorial to the innocent souls who perished in this place. I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants visit this place and seriously feel the pain and sufferring through her words, you won't be disappointed. 5 stars!!
