Full description

Take part in an 11-hour combination tour. Visit Auschwitz-Birkenau for a tour of the museum and site, and then continue later on with the opportunity to explore the Wieliczka Salt Mine. First you’ll stop at Auschwitz I, where you will join a 2.5-hour English tour, provided by the museum’s guide. After that, the tour continues at Auschwitz II-Birkenau, which is about 2 kilometers away.

You’ll spend about an hour with the same guide and explore the site while hearing about its history. During the second half of your full-day program, you’ll travel to the Salt Mine in Wieliczka, which is one of the oldest working salt mines in the world. It has been producing table salt for over 700 years! Enjoy a delicious packed lunch set (at 14:30) with the best Polish products. The English-speaking tour of the Mine will begin at 16:00 or 17:00 (depending on road conditions).

Head 140 meters underground on a 2.5-hour journey along more than 2.5 kilometers of tourist routes and see chambers with amazing carvings and statues, with everything made of salt. You should arrive back at your hotel not later than at 19:30.

The pick up to each visit was well organised lovely vehicle. Expert guide lovely women who was able to give an exact recount of the history. Auschwitz is a humble environment in which the guide made palatable. The salt mine very good lots to see with history and great and funny guide.

‘Was fab!’ said one traveller. 'Guides were friendly and helpful’ said another. I personally thought it was really well paced and full of rich history. One pice of feedback is that since we went in the middle of winter we would have preferred a hot lunch instead of the cold pasta and roll we were provided. But otherwise excellent tour

We were picked up directly from our hotel and Tomasz the driver was helpful and friendly from the start. He made it clear where we should meet him after each activity and walked you to your guide at the start. The tour guide at Auschwitz was very knowledgeable and approachable with any questions. Lunch was provided and very good. The tour guide Peter at the Salt museum was great, he made sure every one could see and hear him and was very funny. Overall was a great day and would recommend it.
