Full description
Visit Auschwitz, formerly the largest German concentration camp, located on the outskirts of the Polish town of Ośiwięcim. Through the showing of a documentary about the camp and a guided tour by an English-speaking guide, you will learn about the tragedies of World War II and the many lives lost. In addition to the two main camps, Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau, there is also a state museum, established by the Polish government in 1947. There are many artifacts on display, such as personal possessions of the prisoners. The tour was excellent as well as the guide. The pickup / transfer not so much.. The coach was a bit outdated but that's okay. However it's terrible you're dropped in Krakow instead of returned to your hotel, According to the tour-operator because it's so busy in the centre however apparently the pickup in the morning can be arranged by taxi but not in the afternoon, it would be a nice addition to be brought back as well.

Fantastic tour. Make sure you ask the guides loads of questions because there is so much more they know that they can explain when walking around. The pick up and transfer to other vehicles wasn't expected but coordinating that many people at that time of the morning meant it was the only feasible way of doing it. We didn't have any time between the tours to visit the museum which was a shame. Auschwitz part of the tour was very informative and Birkenau was amazing just for the scale of the Nazi horrors.
