Full description
Your guide will meet you at the entrance to the museum and you start your tour into the past. During your 2-hour museum tour you will discover a unique archaeological reserve in Europe, covering nearly 43,000 sq.ft (4000 sq.m). It was fashioned under the surface of the Main Market Square to provide a display for the treasures that had been found and narrate the turbulent history of Medieval Krakow. The oldest history is exemplified by reconstructions of 11th-century burials presented in the exhibition. See the treasures hidden underground, learn a lot with the help of touchscreens, holograms, projections and documentary films. At the end of the tour, when you go to the surface again, you will see Krakow from a new perspective.

Our guide Adrian embedded the many concrete information about the historical Krakow into an interesting and illustrative general introduction to life in the European Middle Ages, with numerous examples from everyday life and references to contemporary German usage. Also personally he was always sympathetic and attentive. The exhibition itself was rather unspectacular, but due to the good leadership quite enlightening and entertaining.

Tour guide is the same man we had when we visited last year at Schindlers Factory. He has a passion for delivering the information in a friendly way. He's a walking encyclopaedia. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour!
