Full description

Start your tour by meeting your professional tour guide. After a pleasant meet-and-greet, embark on a historic fact finding adventure through the city of Krakow. During your tour you will dive headfirst into the history of World War II in Poland with a special focus on the heroic efforts of Oskar Schindler. Oskar Schindler was a German entrepreneur and breeder who saved 1200 Jewish people and Holocaust victims during World War II by transferring prisoners to his own factories. Oskar was the main character in the book "Schindler's Ark" and the film "Schindler's List".

During your tour you will get to visit famous landmarks such as:

• Oskar Schindler's apartment

• The site of the famous 'enamel factory' in Schindler's list amongst other locations from the famous film

• Museum of Archeology and Geology, the site of the Plaszów Concentration Camp

• Wawel Castle, the wartime residence of the Governor General Hans Frank

• Courtyrad on ul. Meiselsa, the famous courtyard in Kazimierz, immortalised in Spielberg's film

• Plac Zgody

• The Piłsudski Bridge

• Plac Bohaterów Getta

During this tour will also get access to the popular Schindler's factory where you will discover more about the impact of the war on the people of Krakow. Whilst here, take a trip through the Factory Museum and witness the modern exhibition. Through the help of a state of the art multimedia installation you'll also get a glimpse of day-to-day life from a bygone-era; walk along the cobbled streets of the city, visit a hairdresser's atelier, ride the tram to see a typical apartment in the Jewish ghetto and see what life was like inside the Płaszów camp.
