First, you will stop at the Gelati Monastery, built by the most powerful Georgian King David the Builder. Marvel at this architectural masterpiece from the Middle Ages and the astonishing mosaic fresco. Visit the grave of the King and learn about his last will left for generations. Hear legends and stories about heroes defending their homeland, before venturing to your next stop.  Arrive at Motsameta Monastery, which offers awe-inspiring views of the river and the surrounding countryside. A most interesting, thought-provoking, and above all enjoyable tour of the historic Georgian city of Kutaisi. Monstaries, caves, ruins, parks, museums...a lot to take in. Best of all, you are guided by a very friendly and knowledgeable Kutaisi native who will make sure this will be a day to remember.

Well organized tour through Georgia's historical places

Wir enjoyed this tour. Our very friendly, accommodating and dedicated guide: Giorgi Nikoladze told us many wonderful facts and legends about the history of Georgia. The Prometheus cave is also worth the trip. The tour was well organized and thought through. We could take as much time as we needed at any point.

Amazing cave Prometeus

The Cathedral and the monasteries were interesting, especially the surrounding view is magnificent. The Prometheus Cave is very beautiful and well maintained and the group is spoken in both English and Russian. The other cave is much smaller and not too spectacular but the surrounding park is beautiful. The guide Giorgi a connoisseur of places gave us all the information possible and made the journey enjoyable. I recommend the excursions and thanks to the organizers and the guide in particular.
