We booked a full day tour with local guide Kaori and we loved the experience! She was very well prepared and had already discussed with us what we would like to visit before the tour started. She had made a good program so we could see a lot of Kyoto without having to rush from one site to another. We visited Kinkakuji temple (the Golden pavilion), Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, Fushimi Inari shrine !Thousands of Shinto gates) and Gion where Kaori gave us extra information on Japanese history and tradition. At noon we had lunch in a traditional Japanese restaurant, sitting on the floor. Very nice experience and very good choice of her! At the end of tour she gave us some tips on other things to do/visit in Kyoto and even arranged a taxi for us. We were very happy to have booked this tour and would like to thank Kaori again for the wonderfull experience!

We had a really good tour with Akiko in Kyoto. Akiko had very good english and was very friendly. She took us to the main highlights of Kyoto and was very informative. The pace of the tour was also very good as we did not want to be rushed. We really liked the walk through Gion district and the visit to the Golden Palace. We would hghily recommend a private tour with Akiko to get a good sense of Kyoto at the beginning of your stay.
