Full description

Discover the highlights of the island of La Palma on a guided day trip. Explore the capital city of Santa Cruz de La Palma, and the picturesque landscape of the Cumbre Vieja National Park. Meet your guide in the harbor of Santa Cruz de La Palma and head off to discover some of the most notable sights of the city. See The Ship of the Virgin, a reproduction of the sailing ship Santa María, which Christopher Columbus used to discover the Americas.

Then, visit the Castle of Santa Catalina which was one of the most important in Spain during the Age of Discovery. Stroll through the colonial-era streets of the city and see the typical double balconies of the residential homes. Hop on the bus and travel to the Mirador de la Concepción. Admire the views of the volcanic landscape and the island's capital from this spectacular viewpoint. Travel southwest, entering the area affected by the recent Cumbre Vieja volcano. Stop in the exclusion zone of the Tacande village where you will have a first view of the recently active volcano. Then, continue to Tazacorte to see the youngest lava flows in Spain. After lunch, head to the last stop of the tour at the Tajuya viewpoint. Take some time to safely observe the effects of the most recent volcanic eruption in the Canary Islands. Then, relax on your journey back to Santa Cruz.

The visit was very interesting and informative. The food, excellent. Our guide Rosi explained everything wonderfully and was very friendly. The bad luck was that we lost about 45 minutes (me waiting at the maritime station) due to the delay of the ferry that came from Tenerife. The rest is fine. And the driver Jesus was most skilled.
