Visit the Piedmont wine region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and tour a famous winery. Enjoy a wine-tasting of famous vintages, such as Dolcetto & Gavi, Barolo, Moscato, and Brachetto. Located in Barolo, near the beautiful medieval village of Castiglione, is a family-run winery. Visit the winery to learn about winemaking techniques and traditions. Follow the friendly winery owner as they accompany you through the vineyards and continue to the cellar. While in the cellar taste 12 different wines paired with local cold cuts and cheese. Also, enjoy trying local olive oil and two different Italian liqueurs.

Fantastic day! The tour was very educational - we left with a deep appreciation for their craft. The 11 tastings - 9 wines & 2 spirits - gave us a well-rounded look into their craft. And, the snacks were the perfect (& generous compliment). Would recommend!

We had quite a few snacks with the tasting, so don't eat a big lunch before. The accent was a little heavy, which made the guide a little hard to understand, but it got better after a while. We did not feel that he tried to make us buy some wine as others - he only told us that is was possible.

De uitleg was zeer interessant. Echter werd de excursie iedere keer verstoord door een huilende baby van andere bezoekers. Dit stoorde ons dusdanig, dat we veel van de informatie niet mee konden krijgen. Wel super lekkere wijnen geproefd en voor een goede prijs te verkrijgen aldaar.
