Full description

Be transported to another time through the paved streets and historical plazas of Teguise, the municipal capital of Teguise. Enjoy a great view of El Valle de las Mil Palmeras (the valley of the thousand palm trees) on the way to Los Valles towards Haría. Then visit the Cueva de los Verdes, a uniquely beautiful cave with an indescribable interior formed by volcanic eruptions. After passing through Arrieta and Mala, stop at the aloe museum where you will learn about the benefits of aloe. Continue to Guatiza to have a look to the prickly pears plantations where the natural dye, cochineal, is produced. Explore the old quarry where the famous artist César Manrique perfectly fused nature and art. Follow the road to the César Manrique Foundation, located in the old house of the magnificent Lanzarote-born artist. Here, we have the opportunity to contemplate Manrique’s work, as well as various paintings and sculptures by different avant-garde artists.

Very good excursion, very friendly guide who speaks French very well as expected. We visited the cactus garden, then the aloe vera museum (more of a way to get people to buy than a museum), las cuevas de los verdes then we stopped in Haria to eat. Small flat, the restaurant was really not exceptional, a small buffet of a few dishes and not even dessert except for a poor banana. Then we went to the Mirador del Rio instead of the Manrique Foundation because of the new COVID schedules. I can tell you that the watchtower is worth the detour and it is really not a waste of time, a little more time on the spot would not have been refused to contemplate this magnificent view. Then move to Teguise, a little free time on site might have been good to better discover the city. Very good day I recommend.

The experience is very interesting, you visit points that, in my opinion, are the most beautiful on the island. It is not reported in the app but the Marique foundation cannot be visited because it has been closed since the covid-19 pandemic began. It was replaced with a visit to the Mirador del Rio

Absolutely Fabulous!!

What a lovely way to spend a day. We really enjoyed every minute and would highly recommend this tour. There were so many amazing things to see, it was quite overwhelming at times. We enjoyed the lunch. Our guide was so charming, clearly passionate about Lanzarote and spoke four different languages so confidently, I was very impressed.
