Visit a local museum and also the workshop of a folk artist in the village. Then, ride the cable car to the top of Mt. Gubałówka to see a wonderful view of the Tatra Mountains.  After a short walk around the peak, return down to visit the oldest part of Zakopane town where the old cottages of the mountaineers still stand. Surrounded by ash trees and blackened by the sun, these wooden houses and churches were built in the Zakopane style by the remarkable Polish artist, Witkacy.  To better experience the true Zakopane atmosphere, take a walk along Krupowki Street lined with restaurants, cafes, boutiques, and souvenir shops. To complete your experience, visit the enormous regional market and take the chance to enjoy lunch in a restaurant serving local specialties.  If you wish to find out more about this unusual region, you can also visit the Tatra Museum. The last stop in Zakopane is the ski jump at Nosal followed by a beautiful chapel in Jaszczurowka with extraordinary stained glass window. You’ll then depart back to Kraków around 4 PM.

Zakopane was amazing! We were picked up on time and the journey there was fairly smooth with little traffic. We had a private car and guide for the entire trip which was great. Jakub was very friendly and gave us plenty of time to explore. The first stop at the sculpture shop was adorable, and the cheese shop afterwards was amazing. We purchased souvenirs and tried 4 different cheeses - the whole experience even before we got to Zakopane was gorgeous. Once we got to the village, Jakub gave us plenty of time to explore and get lunch. There are many options and places to visit, plus the views are breathtaking. We had an amazing time. On the way home, we ran into trouble with traffic and eventually got stuck in the snow trying to go over a hill. Jakub was amazing and managed to drive us home in horrible conditions, and a massive thank you as well as the 4 guys who helped push us up the hill. We would not be making our flight home without him!

We arrived in Zakopane about 1:45 from Krakow. You reach a stunning area in its beauty. It is recommended to go to the cable car and enjoy the view of the Tetra Mountains. If you have time and the driver allows So it is also advisable to do snowmobile trips
