Planning Your Visit
When should I go?
Peru's peak tourist season is from December to April, when the weather is warmer with clear skies. If you don't mind the crowds, visit then, because from June to December, the city is covered with a thick, gray fog.
What should I wear?
You don't need to dress for particularly warm or cold weather if you go during the high season. If you decide to go on the walking trails around archeological sites, remember to bring walking boots and maybe even some blister relief!

What people are saying about Lima
It is a long day, but well worthwhile as a lot is packed in. I was really lucky as I was the only one on the tour that day so had Choji, my guide, to myself. His English was excellent and he was a really interesting guide. He covered not only details about the sights on the way but also happily discussing pretty much anything about Peru that I wanted to know. Great to get out of Lima and see something of Peru. Trip to the Ballestas Islands was memorable - getting up close to the sea lions and birds. Desert and oasis impressive too. Sand buggying very much like a roller coaster. Lunch and tasting at the winery were good too. Our guide there was really informative and funny. Also very generous tasting session of eight different piscos. A well put together tour.
Pachacamac is a really worthwhile experience. It’s not far from Lima and a relatively easy means of being introduced to Peru’s pre Colonial Cultures. The Interpretation Centre is really well laid out and I learnt a lot. Jonathan, my guide, was very knowledgeable and meant that I was able to absorb a lot in a short space of time. The site itself is interesting too, but a guide would be needed to make the most of this. A bizarre, and interesting bonus, is the garden outside the Interpretation Centre, making you aware of the rich variety of plants grown and used in Peru then and now. The only issue is Lima traffic, which meant that we were back an hour later than planned. Not a reflection the tour company, just a fact of life here.
The whole was marvellous. Loved the special little touches, chiros and extra facts in the morning, the ceviche at the markets for lunch was to die for. Highly recommend this tour. We did morning and afternoon tours in one day.
My 5 star review of John⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome guide and tour. Enjoyed the history and touring the churches. Lots of great information about the history of Limá. John was excellent! Thank You! Timothy from Texas USA
So enjoyed our journey! It was the best! Our guide was the best, as was his associate. Being in my electric wheelchair, they helped me get to see everything. Certainly the best. Recommend them to all!!
