Then begin your tasting experience of up to 13 Peruvian flavors around the city center. Get to know the history behind the unique fusions that characterize Peruvian cuisine and how they are related to the influences brought by the different waves of immigration throughout the country's history. Visit local spots that very few tourists get to visit while in Lima. Explore the colorful Central Market, the largest market in Lima. Taste local fruits and products that come directly from the country's many small producers. Walk through the streets of Lima's Chinatown and try the Cantonese-Peruvian fried rice dish called arroz chaufa. A great tour! Guide Nathaly spoke English very well and was able to give us a very good historical and culinary insight into the Peruvian culture. There were only two of us in the group. Food and drinks were varied and perfectly adequate. Getting vegetarian food was not a problem.
