Visit Our Lady of Fátima Sanctuary (Nossa Senhora de Fátima Santuario), a place of worship visited each year by more than 4 million pilgrims, who come to pay their respects and worship at the shrine. You’ll see the Chapel of the Apparitions, built on the site where the Virgin Mary appeared to the 3 young shepherds, and also see the tombstones of 2 of the 3 shepherds who reported the apparition.  In Batalha you’ll visit the monastery and admire its gothic architecture. In the old fishing village of Nazaré, you’ll take in the belvedere over the beach area and the headlands. Finish off with a stop in medieval Óbidos before heading back to Lisbon.
