Maya was an outstanding guide giving us a history lesson and providing current perspectives on various cultural issues. We saw so much and learned a ton. We had a baby with us and she was very flexible and accommodating. We could not have been happier! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, and had a great sense of humor. Richard was amazingly tireless in sharing his knowledge of his Portuguese culture and walking us up and down through all the must sees. We booked this tour well in advance and there was excellent email communication with the tour director Joao. Ricardo picked us up on time at the cruiseport as arranged and he had customised a tour specific to both my wife and my interests (even visiting a garden the day before to ensure it was suitable etc.). He spoke great English, was a competent driver and even went with us to buy coffee and enter a museum to make sure we got exactly what we required. His knowledge of Portugal and Lisbon history is excellent and his explaination of events was clear and well understood. We walked through the narrow alleyways of Lisbon and Ricardo was able to utilise tourism parking spots (to save us walking back up a steep hill) and skip the lines, all of which we could definitely not do on our own.
