The trip was well-organised and James, the guide, very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. The stops were all a bit rushed, but that happens when you are trying to squeeze a lot into a short time. The only complaint was trying to find the bus after our time in Burton-on-Water. James said to look for landmarks, which I did, but on return wasn't sure which way to turn after we went through the passageway. It would be helpful to have him standing at the end of the passageway to direct us. We weren't the only ones who were confused.

It was a lovely trip! Very informative and fun!…of the 3 stops though, the first one was ok…just an opportunity for pictures, the second location is during lunch so if you eat (and eat FAST!) you have enough time to stop in 1 store for 5 minutes before you have to run back to the bus. There just wasn’t enough time in the water stop (can’t recall the name of that town but it was something “on the water.” Then we hit Oxford and they give you a walking tour which includes some fun Harry Potter spots! The walking around was nice but maybe a little too long. It’s bigger but that doesn’t mean you have to cover the whole area in that time. My opinion is up the time in the smaller town and lower the amount of time for Oxford. Otherwise it was perfect!

Transportation (vehicle and driver) and guide were excellent. Lots of traffic for the sites visited showcased the ability of our driver to get us where and when needed. That also proved a challenge trying to get pics not always filled with people. Was expecting both slate and thatched roofs but only saw the former. Beware having less than 2hrs for lunch… we found we had to forego much exploration as we waited for our meal. Quaint and wonderful describe the Cotswalds. The Oxford portion was significantly bolstered by our guide James’ descriptions and knowledge of the various buildings, colleges and history of the area. We had time to explore on our own as well which was made better by the excellent introduction to the area that James provided. Be aware of the time… this tour is needfully highly schedule driven and more than once we found ourselves jogging to get back to the bus on time.
