Full description
Travel back to prehistoric England on a full-day sightseeing tour from London and explore the mysteries of one of the world’s most enigmatic sites. Traveling by luxury air-conditioned vehicle, drive across the beautiful county of Wiltshire to Salisbury Plain. Here lies the awe-inspiring stone circle of Stonehenge, a mysterious site that continues to confound historians. As you tour the site, hear theories of how it was a temple to worship the sun, a healing center, a burial site and even an immense calendar. Explore how the mighty stones were carried to Salisbury Plain using only the most primitive of tools. Then, continue to the city of Bath on the banks of the River Avon. Explore the first city in England to be designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, admiring attractions such as the 15th-century Bath Abbey, the stunning Georgian architecture of the Royal Crescent and the romantic Pulteney Bridge, modeled on the Ponte Vecchio in Florence. No visit to Bath would be complete without seeing the Roman Baths that gave the city its name. This beautifully preserved complex still flows with water from Britain’s only hot spring. Marvel at the dazzling torch-lighting ceremony as dusk falls (not available on summer tours) and sip the healing waters in the stunning Neo-Classical Pump Room.

The trip to Stonehenge and Bath was very nice. Of course with any group tour and timeline, it was a bit rushed. We had exactly 90 minutes at Stonehenge. Not enough time to revel in it after walking around it or to shop afterwards. I hurriedly grabbed a book and some wine before making the bus to leave (with one minute to spare). Four minutes later (12:04) the bus left, leaving one couple behind. So don't be late... We had 3 hours at Bath, which isn't enough time to really enjoy yourselves too much. We arrived at 13:00, spent about 20 minutes listening to instructions and where to meet for the 14:00 Roman Bath tour, which takes at least an hour if you zip through all the displays. Then wandered the streets to The Jane Austen center, stopped and grabbed a coffee and it was time to hop back on the bus at 16:00. If you really want to soak in the city, you'll have to go on your own. But for a quick see, it was fun. Ling was knowledgeable, very talkative, and a bit humourous.

First of all, Tish was our guide and she was awesome! She made sure no one got left behind and was kinda funny the whole trip. Stonehenge felt a bit rushed because there is still a small exhibit that you can explore. We only got max 20mins looking and taking pictures of the stones then we went back to see the exhibit and buy souvenirs. Bath got plenty of time especially if you just want to go on inside. We still got an hour outside after the tour. But it requires extra payment to visit the bath itself. Overall it was a good day. Hopefully they add 30mins more to Stonehenge and less 30mins to bath.

This was our second booking our first was cancelled Monday due to the Queen’s funeral. Our tour Guide Eileen was fun and gave us a lot of history on everything. How Eileen remembered everyone’s name was amazing. Paolo was our driver he made sure we were safe and cool when our air went out on the bus. It was a great tour and we enjoyed. We got to spend ample time in both spots to take pictures grab a bite to eat. The tour didn’t feel rushed.
