Full description

Embark on a full-day guided tour to Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, and Oxford from London. Take the scenic route through the lush English countryside in a comfortable air-conditioned bus.

The first stop on this tour is Windsor Castle. With its sweeping landscaped gardens and turreted Round Tower, it is easy to see why the castle is the Queen’s favorite weekend residence.

Enjoy a fascinating through-the-keyhole peek at the lavish State Apartments, home to priceless artworks by Rembrandt and Leonardo da Vinci. You can also visit Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House and St George’s Chapel - the final resting place of the monarchs of old, including Henry VIII. The tour then moves on to spectacular Stonehenge. You will never forget your first glimpse of the monolithic rock formation rising up against the skyline of the Salisbury Plain.

Theories abound as to Stonehenge’s mysterious origin. Was it intended as a religious temple? An astronomical clock? A Bronze Age burial ground? Make up your own mind as you explore this unique landmark. Your final stop of the day is the charming university town of Oxford. Here you will enjoy a walking tour with free leisure time. Stroll the captivating college courtyards and cobbled lanes of this historic university town. The tour will finish at approximately 07:15 PM in London.

Top sights, unfortunately only fog despite the announcement of sun. Time in Windsor was a little short, there is so much to see. Be sure to get to the entrance as soon as possible. The line of groups is very large. Queuing and then going through the security check takes too much time. Otherwise great.

Despite of having only managed to have 3h sleep before heading for the tour, the experience altogether was simply fabulous! The bus ride run smooth and comfortable all the way. The tour guide was a such sweetheart, very acknowledgeable, polite and thoughtful. The setup timing for visiting each site worked quite well in the end, as well as the tips and suggestions we were given. We are lucky to have had a nice weather most of the time, with just a little bit of scattered showers in the very end of our trip at Oxford.

That was my first experience to use a guided bus to travel in between those iconic places in England. I was scared to use a bus, thought I would be tired and exhausted due to my age, surprisingly the travel was enjoyable, the guide managed to engross us into the history, she kept our group alive, shared her knowledge and experience, told some jokes and even sang her songs! I think everyone in our group was impressed! Thanks a lot for such wonderful time!!!
