Travel back to the origins of London on this 3-hour walking tour and discover the original square mile that nestled beside the River Thames. Known to Londoners as "The City," it has seen some of the most important events in British history and is home to some of London’s oldest buildings. As you tour, you will pass Sir Christopher Wren’s iconic St. Paul's Cathedral, Shakespeare's Globe Theater, The Tower of London, and Mansion House. Wander through the maze of small streets, church courtyards, and river walkways that make up the old town, and breathe life into a history that stretches back almost 2,000 years. You will also see some of the modern sights, such as the pedestrian Millennium Bridge – also known as the “Wobbly Bridge” – leading from St. Paul’s to the fantastic Tate Modern Art Gallery set in a renovated power station. You will stroll alongside the River Thames to see HMS Belfast and Tower Bridge, hear stories of how London survived the blitz during World War 2, and visit the Church of the Knights Templar, of Da Vinci Code fame.

After the confusion of not finding the guide as no red tee-shirt we really enjoyed this. It was just over 3 hours and he was excellent. We even got for 5 mins to go inside st Paul's just be fore a service. The guide was very knowledgeable and as there was only 4 of us in the group he answered all the questions and it felt really like a one to one tour.

The London Old City Walking Tour was wonderful! Our guide, "little" Ben, was very knowledgeable, entertaining, and fun. He made the tour special. I would certainly go on another tour with the same guide, and would definitely look for more tours from the same company. (We were also lucky to have perfect weather, which was a plus!)

A very educational powerwalk through London Old City

After having joined a fantastisk Jack the Ripper tour last year, we wanted to try out another guided walking tour. We were NOT disappointed and enjoyed a very educational 2.5-hour tour through London Old City with an enthusiastic, good-humoured, well-informed and fast walking Angus. We learned something new about the fantastic City of London, and inspite of grey and rainy it was a great tour. However do not join if you cannot walk fast. ;)
