Loro Parque: Tours & Tickets
Birds, animals and sea life at Spain's Loro Parque
Loro Parque, translating to “Parrot Park,” was established as a paradise for the sweet, talkative creatures themselves and, since its 1972 opening, remains home to 4,000 parrots representing 350 species. What other animals call this sanctuary home?
1. Sea Lions
The kids will love watching these funny guys play tricks, waddle poolside, and snooze in the sunshine.
2. Tunnel Aquarium Life
Walk beneath the sharks in a tunnel aquarium filled with 1,200,000 of seawater brought just 150 meters away straight from the Atlantic Ocean off the Canary Islands.
There’s no doubt that these fellas are some of the most intelligent and mischievous animals in the world. Watch them laugh and play at the dolphin show, offered four times daily.
4. Tigers and Jaguars
Don't miss your chance to hang out with these giant cats during your visit. One of Loro’s jaguars recently had twins!
5. Did we mention the parrots?
The loveable namesakes of Loro Parque beg another mention. Check out The Loro Show, performed six times daily, to see the clever creatures ride tiny bikes, count, and solve puzzles.

Admire the Gardens
Hear the most beautiful birdcalls in the word at the Katandra Treetops, a replicated tropical jungle filled with some of the most gorgeous birds from Australia and Asia.

What people are saying about Loro Parque
Loro parque is a zoo like no other. The one where animals actually seem to be content. We stayed in the southern part of Tenerife - costa Adeje and the transfer to Puerto de la Cruz where Loro Parque is took about an hour. But the trip itself was a nice experience - comfortable bus with panoramic windows and very skilled driver (we were impressed given the often time narrow streets and curvy roads) allowed us to enjoy breathtaking views. On the way back we even got a glimpse of Los Gigantes!
Park was great. Only complaint was the transfer. 15 minutes late, not the company to blame, but even on scheduled time, only gives time to rush around to try and see everything, could have been an hour earlier. Tickets were cheaper than buying direct. Will definitely use again when going away.
The pickup was in time in front of Bahia Princess and in around 1 hour I was in the loro park. The park is amazing and killer whale's show is awesome and magnificent. The remaining shows are so magic as well. Therefore, I fully recommend this place to visit.
It is a wonderfull place to spent with your family!!! This is the 5 time whe came and will not be for sure the last time.
It is an unmissable destination in Tenerife! Everything is very well organized and the shows are "moving"! Amazing!!! ♥️
